Overview:
This course is designed to provide practical hands-on experience using software application packages to produce a set of process maps and data models. These tools allow for both decomposition of information from process, sub-process to activity levels, in addition to maintenance of linkages enabling drill through changes to be made efficiently.
This is part of the Monash Professional Business Process Analysis and Optimisation course, comprising ten days instructor led training. Course 626 Tools for Process & Data Modellers is the fourth unit and can be taken in conjunction with:
- unit 1 Course 604: Process Mapping, Analysis and Modelling
- unit 2 Course 606: Data Modelling
- unit 3 Course 616: Business Process Metrics Software

This course places heavy emphasis on hands-on practical exercises to demonstrate the capabilities of the packages.

Pre-requisites
In order to gain maximum benefit from the learning in this course, you should have completed Course 604: Process Mapping, Analysis and Modelling, Course 606: Data Modelling and Course 616: Business Process Metrics Software or possess equivalent knowledge and experience.
