Overview:

This course builds on what you learnt in Course 045: Linux and UNIX Fundamentals and Course 046: Linux and UNIX Shell Scripting. You will gain hands-on experience performing various tasks that allow integration of services with Microsoft Windows based systems. In particular, cooperating with Windows Active Directory, Printing, File sharing and Email services is dealt with in detail.

Learning Method:

This course uses a combination of instructor presentation, facilitated group discussion and practical exercises. Each attendee will be provided with a set of course notes and will have the opportunity to accumulate significant hands-on experience and apply what you have learned in practical exercises throughout the course.

This course will be useful for programmers working in a UNIX (or Linux) environment and UNIX or Linux system administrators, where the skills needed to interoperate Unix with Microsoft Windows are of importance.

or have equivalent knowledge.
