Monash Professional - a Cisco Networking Local Academy

Monash Professional provides students from Monash University and members of the public with an innovative training program designed to ensure you receive a blended mix of conceptual learning with practical hands-on experience. Participants will learn how to design, build and maintain computer networks. Cisco networking equipment, as well as networking technologies from other vendors, is used to deliver the official Cisco Networking Academy curriculum to students through a series of short courses.

Courses offered

Monash Professional offers course units under the Cisco Networking Local Academy program. This consists of four short courses each of 40 hours duration. There are no specific course prerequisites for the Cisco Networking Academy curriculum, however, a minimum level of computer literacy and access to the Internet is required. The courses are designed with a large amount of hands-on laboratory based learning. The curriculum, which is accessed through a web browser, is predominately multimedia based and provides candidates with an understanding of the essential foundations in networking.
