Shared Accommodation
Monash Professional – Internships can arrange shared accommodation in Australia, generally within 60 minutes travel to the host company.
The intern will have his/her own room or twin share in a shared house or apartment:
- sharing with one or more persons of any nationality or gender;
- sharing with a couple; or
- sharing with other travellers/interns.
No meals are provided in a shared house living arrangement. Most shared housing is equipped with a fully functioning kitchen or at the very least, basic kitchen appliances such as a fridge and microwave.
Accommodation placement: $200
Single room: $300 per week
Twin room: $200 per week (per person)
- The intern must organise his/her room mate prior to moving in.
Airport transfer: $120
- The intern is met at the airport and transported to the share accommodation.
Please note
- Four weeks' notice period must be given before changing or leaving shared accommodation.
- Laundry facilities are usually provided and the intern is responsible for the cleaning of his/her own clothes as well as purchasing any laundry products.
- The intern might need to provide his/her own bedding and towels. The intern will be informed prior to his/her arrival as to what they will need to bring regarding these items.
- Interns are responsible for the cleanliness of their own rooms and any communal areas, and respectful to the other members of the house.
