Monash Professional offers a range of tailored internship programs in Australia.
Professional Internships
Professional internships are unpaid training periods of between four weeks and six months (depending on visa), and can be organised within most industries and cities in Australia. Undertaking a professional internship allows applicants to extend their area of studies or interest through practical application while gaining valuable industry experience and developing contacts.
Hospitality Internships
Internships within the hospitality field are remunerated and can be for six months and one year in duration. Roles undertaken are rotated within the various departments of the hotel to better develop an awareness of industry practice. Popular among international students and entry level professionals, this program extends knowledge and experience within the hospitality area, whilst also financing an extended stay in Australia.
This internship category is open to hospitality students or graduates. While prior hospitality experience is not required, due to the high level of interaction with customers, applicants must have at least an upper intermediate level of conversational English. Where necessary, Monash Professional will conduct a telephone interview. Wages are paid in accordance with Australian Award wages (approximately A$12 - A$20 per hour).
