A multicultural city

Vibrant night-life

There are great pubs, jazz haunts, rock venues and nightclubs in most quarters of the city - from Darling Harbour to Kings Cross; Oxford Street to The Rocks. There is always something going on in Sydney and you’re sure to find something to suit your taste.

Parks, gardens and bays

The metropolitan area is surrounded by national parks and contains many bays, rivers and inlets. Sydney Harbour is the largest and most beautiful natural harbour in the world. More than 70 harbour and ocean beaches, including the famous Bondi Beach, are within easy reach of the city. The Royal Botanic Gardens offer some of the best views of Sydney Harbour, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge possible. Hyde Park is the city's central open green space and popular among office workers or anyone looking for some fresh air, a quick siesta or some time out from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Getting around

Climate

Sydney has average maximum temperatures in summer of around 25°C and 18°C in winter. This temperate climate and the coastal location make it perfect for enjoying the city's outdoor lifestyle.
